View Full Version : Attaching a Biped's COM to a Path Contraint

I am trying to get a biped's COM to be on an ellipse path constraint. However, when the biped is traveling on the path constraint, I still need to be able to rotate the biped 90 or even 180 degrees while he is still traveling on the ellipse at a constant rate. I am getting a "List Controller" error.

(ie. Select Bip01 - the COM, go to Animation --> Path Contsraint--> Select the elipse shape --> I get the error.)

Can someone help please?

What about linking the COM to a dummy, then assigning a path constraint to the dummy instead? That way the dummy will animate going around the ellipse, but you'll still have complete control over the Biped's transforms.

hope this helps

Yup, that sure worked. Don't know why I did not think of that.

thank you much!
