I don't know about your software, but in mine (Hash inc.'s Animation:Master) you cannot do that. What you can do is render out one view from camera 1 then render out another view from cam 2...then in an editing program cut the clips to the correct length and bring them together. In my software there is also a feature when it comes to keyframe animation called "Force Keyframe". what i may do is have on camera and when it comes to the spot where I want to switch views I push that button and it just places a keyframe of the cam's current position. Then I jump forward one frame and move the cam to the correct position. Then you can render one animation and have more than one view included

The reason that they tend not to have features like that people tend to grow out of needing that. Wanting to make multiple shots with one scene is a symthom of treating 3d like a simulation.
You're almost always better off creating a second scene. This is because you're probably going to want to light things differently for each camera angle. Also, the scene might look better with the objects in slightly different possitions.
Perhaps more importanly, keeping your scenes seperate makes it easier to scale events over the shots, shuffle things around a bit, and adds redundancy (for safety's sake).

if you are a max user, you can do this by rendering your scenes with the videopost dialog. there you can setup multiple cameras. andy murdock also got a camera blend script on his homepage: www.lotsofrobots.com

yea the first thing that comes in mind is to have 2 different cameras, and render one after the other..
another way to do it for previews (for final render, it's best to have different cameras), is to key your camera where you want it to be, frame 1 and frame 30 ..
key it on frame 31.. flatten the tangent so it's just a "cut" from 30 to 31 .. you know what i mean?
good luck
