Hi, this is work in progress, the first one has more of a cartoon look to it, the second one has more of a human look :confused:

I like the design of the first one more... Seems like there is some crashing in the eyes and ears.

For rigging purposes, you should model the mouth slightly open. Makes weighting a hell of alot easier.

Hi Fat, about the eyes and ears, it's due to a cheap graphic card :) and about the mouth, I'll keep that in mind.

lookin pretty good. Fats right, the first is better. More Orge like . What are you using as reference material?

Nothing, Well I started with a head I made a while ago http://www.chez.com/ngemme/Louis.jpg once again direct linking dosen't work so just cut and paste the link :( and I had a good idea of what i wanted him to look like (ogre) so I just pulled a few vertex here and there and now it's an ogre... :) with a good texturing job and big sideburns I guess It should look ok... well I hope ;)

i liked very much the first. less human, more ogre like.

i noted u uses maya. i am working in a head model ( see Alien Sea girl on this forum), and u could help me ?

the light setup is getting very hard. do u know a good tutorial
using only the maya lights ? (no mel scripts).
or u can give me some hints.

I don't know any tutorial for Maya but here's a few interesting links on lighting in general applicable to any software.

in a short time, i was able to enhance a lot
my head study.
