This is a test I'm working on in Maya6 using the infamous Generi Rig....its in the blocking stages still.

I wanted to work on thinking and thought-process. So I chose this sound from the Richard Donner film "Ladyhawke" (starring Rutger Hauer, Michelle Phiefer, and a very young Matthew Broderick...plus music by the Alan Parsons Project!!...woot!...great film, I recommend everyone go rent this one) This line is from Broderick's character, Phillippe. I chose it because it really has alot of thinking and inner searching in it (in the film, he's attempting to rationalize a very strange and scary event that just happened).

I chose this scenario for a few reasons.... first, it seemed an appropriate and humorous situation to say this line.... also, I wanted to focus on conveying the message in just the face without distracting actions.... and lastly, God bless Andrew Silke for creating this great rig, but I can't stand the ugly little blue SOB :)

definitely a nice start. I know the body movement will come in time.

My only critique is his weight. even if he was held up by the plates, I think his body would have more weight being pulled by gravity.

keep it up - looking forward to this - its something different than everything I have seen lately!

Nice man, bringing back the old school Ferris Bueller!

I really dig it, I like it a lot so far. You should post it at the 10secondclub.net (http://www.10secondclub.net) ..

Cheers, and keep us updated,

I like it, feels snappy, but not too snappy. Really good. His lower body needs to move... even just slightly, even the tiniest little bit... as it is, it seems dead. Even a swing of a few pixels back and forth would improve it.
