it's common, that every grade make a movie when they graduate the grammar school.
This year, I were responsible for the VFX. We filmed everything with a normal dv cam, so the quality isn't as good as it should be. I had to realise the effects in only a month and a half. At the same time I had also to learn for the examination.
All the 3D parts were made with maya. The textures and the matte were made in photoshop and the compositing were done in After Effects.
Originally the camera doesn't pan with the dish, so I had to enlarge the sky and the mountains.
