View Full Version : plz help paint a gun texture!!

Hi guys. I'm attempting a tutorial in Leigh's lightwave 3d8 texturing, which is a fantastic book by the way.

The tutorial is at the back of the book and asks you to paint over a gun shaped wireframe screenshot in photoshop. I am having trouble painting the edges of the gun as there are alot of pointed edges. I can only find circular brushes and I keep going over the edges and making them jagged and uneven.

Can anyone offer any tips for texture painting like this???

Create a new layer, make a selection on the edge with your marquee tool, fill it with color and blur it, if needed.
