View Full Version : Where do I find C4D Video Learning files?

06-07-2005, 03:31 PM
I learn't 3DS Max by joining Lynda.com learning library, they do hours of Qucktime movies on every aspect of how to use Max. Now I want to move onto Cinema 4D but Lynda.com don't do video learning files for C4D, does anyone know if anyone else does???

For a video introduction in how CINEMA works have a look here
It's targeted for LW users that want to add CINEMA to their toolset, but it should help you too.

There is also some kind of video that comes on the CDs. I am thinking they were only for animation (Duck Race I think).

Also have a look on Creative Mac dot com. They have some good introductory stuff. Click the link here. Thanks guys I will check those out.

I did find 22 hours of Video for C4D on eBay for £12.00. Bargain!. It doesn't look as indepth as the Lynda.com/Max set but its better than reading the book.

Which auction is this? There are a couple of ebay auctions where they sell tutorials which are simply the manuals being read out by the built in computer voice.

Those 22 hours sound dodgy to me. The EBay page has been translated to English. Those interested should do a search on Cinema 4D as that turns it up.

And can you believe it. Some clown is trying to flogg off the rel 9 pdf manuals on cdr. Duh!!

As mentioned, you're best bet is to hop over to C4D Cafe and get (http://www.c4dcafe.com)
about 18 hours worth of videos for free.

Imashination This is the link to the C4D video files. I see you sell training services on 3dfluff.com
3DKiwi after looking at it again I agree they do sound dodgy. On the other hand he does have a 99.1% possitive feedback, we might be judging him harshly for a poor use of English, and at £14.00 I recon its worth a gamble.

I will write to him today and ask him this question "Are you selling 22 hours of video files or are they readable documents?"/ Then post his reply here...

:wise: Personally I find video tutorials 10 times better than reading tutorials, I have even started to make my own video tutorials for personal use, I wasn't blessed with a great memory for stuff as complex as 3D.

Buy them, Im interrested to know what they are now ;-) It does just look like he's slapped a few tutorials from websites on a cd though. Regarding our stuff, take a look at www.cgproshop.com or www.maxonshop.com

I think I will by it, but lets hope its not nerated by the seller. He's still not got back to me, might take him a day or two to translate:)

Sorry for the delay but I finaly got the C4D learning videos off eBay and they are good. There is one cd of (quicktime) C4D application learning videos and another cd of tutorials. I think its well worth the £14.95. Its only down side is how basic it is, but then I am used to learning Max.

Any info on who has made these or where they're from? I like to know what the competition is up to :)

What's the name of them videos?
Something foggy that they're sold on eBay without much advertising in Cinema boards.

What nationality is the narrator? Just reading that window makes me wonder how much sense the actual video tutorials make.

Myself and several other have busted this bastard for selling warez CDs of Cinema 4D and Discreet,Maya.....all kinds of stuff on Ebay both in the US and the UK. Dont buy his stuff, instead report him. I also was partly responsible for getting the software section of his website shutdown.:banghead:

PS This all happened at Renderosity ask Cartesius or Kromekat.

Apparently his software section is back up but only page 1. To access the other pages you need to login. I dont know how.Go figure. Some ppl never learn.

Just went to www.vtc.com (http://www.vtc.com) coz I thought the titles he shows on the ebay page and my vtc CD for XL6 are identical. Sure enough.

Look here: http://www.vtc.com/products/cinema.htm

OK, now im interrested to know who's tutorials they actually are. What accent are they spoken with? that will go a long way to deciding if theyre ours (english german), kiwis (aussie), jannis' (french) or one of the new american ones.

Ill bet Matt Neutra would be interested.

My accent is New Zealand!! Our nasal twang isn't as coarse as Aussies. I'd be most interested as well to know who's tuts these are.

07-09-2005, 08:54 PM
I bet they belong to Matt Neutra and seeing as he was selling appoximately 22 copies of C4D R9 Studio id say the R9 videos are from the Video CD included with R9.

Here are the first 3 quicktime movies compressed for download from my server:
<a (http://<a/) href="http://homepage.ntlworld.com/john_hague/cd4.rar (http://<a%20href=/)"> click to download </a>

I can't get this link to work, so please email me at email@anthonyhague.com and I will send it to you.

The Narrator is American.
