CGTalk - Scripting help

What I need is a script that will return the list of the selected objects.

- If the selection is ONE object, the script would return the name of the object.
- If the selection is several mutli selected object, the script would return the name of these objects.
- If the selection is a group, the script would return the name of all objects in the group.
- If the selection is a branch selection, the script would return the name of all objects in the branch selection.

Is it possible and what command should I study to get that?
I am not asking for the whole script, just lead me to the commands to be used, thanks!

set selected = GetValue( "SelectionList" )
for each oItem in selected
logmessage oItem.name
next

an idea is one can enumerate through objects using something like do until children <0 or go through parents too

Kim sent me on a mission to understand enumerate last week so I'm no pro, but its likley what you need.
