View Full Version : Light fog and Transparency

I have a spotlight with fog hooked up working perfectly except for it not respecting planes with transparency maps (planes with alpha to look like leaves). The end result is that you can see the outline of the polygon and not the alpha transparency. There must be some kind of work around to this?

yes,
I've also run into this issue with fog. I am using the alpha from the fog render for a seperate z buffer pass. Though when dealing with transparency on objects I am getting the geometry outline rather than my textured outline.
any help on this topic would be great!

Use zDepth DOF shader for mental ray. Search this forum for it and you shoudl be able to find it. It renders quite fast and respects transparency.
