Here I put together some of my game cinematic work to show. The first half is a compilation and the second half is a complete 1.5 min cinematic.

Really nice reel...Great environments. But one thing I would really suggest, is taking your name and address out of the corner of the screen. That was one thing they pointed out to us in school. And it's a little distracting once you notice it. So when you send it out for a job, if they want to get in touch with you they can see all your contact info at the end and/or begining of the reel, you don't need to show it during the reel..(and the text was pretty big too). Other than that really good work.

Frankly I don`t see the point of showing everything twice... it is good, might get you a job but I would just show the cinematic... followed by any wire frames of key models at the end... the things fighting was very staged and uninteresting... the environments were nice (That I could see, because the video encoding wasn`t too great), I would just stick to showing those maybe after the wires...

Well, i felt the whole thing was a bit too long. It was all very nice looking, but i think you should actaully get rid of the story at the end. About all those characters fighting in the grass - i'd either take that part out, or make it much more captivating, becasue right now that part is pretty boring - it actually distracted me from the higher quality work that you have in there. Other than those two things, you got a good reel. If you took those two things out, i think your reel would be better, and more rounded. A teacher once told me that it's good not to put everything in your demo reel, because you want to be able to show them more, and you want them to want to see more of your work - some times less is more, know what i mean? And if you have ANY doubts about ANYTHING that you put in there, take it out. If they hire you, you can show it to them later. And only put the best of the best stuff in there. Good luck.

Good crits. Thanks for the comments. Text on the animation, I should know better than that. Just paranoid I guess but re-works are underway. I like the idea of building the reel off of the movie. It's very direct and to the point of what I do. I'll actually create to reels. An actual demonstration of a cinematic with break-down scenes. The second will be a highlight reel of my best works. How's that sound? Kind of captures the main points of the crits so far. Oh, and yeah drop the fight scene unless I can do something more powerful with it. Keep the crits coming, thanks.
