when I'm creating PSD textures, it seems like the maximum resolution can only be 2048*2048.

Is there anything I can do to higher the resolution of my psd texture?

Thanks!

I think this is the settings you specified in uv snapshot settings because actually there's nothing called max-res go to file->new in PS and specify the res in there
and try to read some basics tuts about ps

uhm no i'm using the 'Create PSD Texture Option' under maya, it is, as the name implies, a way to create a uv snap of the selected object in psd format.

and under the option it seems the max resolution i could get is 2048*2048, if i try to push the res higher it'll automatically put it down to 2048*2048.

any tips anybody?

Thanks in advance!

Go to image size under image in PS. Enlarge it as much as you please.

although, if you are still getting pixelation at resolutions over the max default config, it may be something like your brushes aren't that high res.

Its rare that you would need such a high-def texture, though.
