Hi,

At the moment I've been trying to do more cad, type stuff with max, nothing accurate, though I haven't spent much time with splines so bare with me.

The problem Im having is that after I apply the extrude modifier it picks the wrong splines to be the "holes" or windows, eg

In this example Im trying to extrude a wall with windows, and window frames however the window has a face and the window frames become the holes?

Whats the proper method or workaround for this?

Normally for such simple shapes you'd just box model it.

However, with the current pic, you can see how it determines holes.. that being the outer shape is solid, the next internal spline is a hole, next spline is solid, next is hole etc.
If you were to build this shape with splines, you'd select the outer wall spline, and the window hole spline and detach as a seperate editable spline object. From there you'd use the remaining splines as the window frame. Extrude/Edit mesh from there.
