View Full Version : Aligning an Object to a vertice
Animare 10-16-2002, 01:55 AM It seems really simple but I cant figure it out, basically what I want to do is align an object to a vertice on a separate object, like in this example I want to align the rectangular box to the corner of the 'roof'.
Im snapping to vertice, but can't get it to snap, any suggestions or what are some other methods to do this?
Thanks

Sometimes in 3d views, especially perspective, 3dsnap goes a bit wonky. Try an orthogonal view and see if you have the same problem. Aslong as your 3dsnap is set to vertex it should work fine.
Alternatively if you want to align the center of the pillar box, set 3dsnap to midpoint aswell and snap to the top diagonal invisable edge (you may need to turn edges only off in the particular objects properties).
