hey guys, It's me again.

I finally got to where I have made a pretty good image in PS.

Now I need to break it apart into little pieces to use in a web-page.

Can PS do that? or do I need another program?

are you referring to slicing the image? if so the keyboard shortcut given to slice tool is 'k'. use it to carve your image.

Slicing was not available in 5.5 as far as I recall. Macromedia Fireworks is perfect for this . If you are on a budget GIMP can do it too and it won't cost you a dime. Can be downloaded here (http://www.gimp.org).

or, as a final solution, you can do it yourself the hard way.

oh the number of times i've done that.

never again.... :)

If you actually want to slice up all your graphics, then the Gimp or Fireworks are your best options (or get the current version of PS).

Doing it yourself is not too bad, once you have the right concept in mind. However, that may require learning more about HTML/CSS than you want at this point. I would highly recommend this route, and if you are at all interested, I (and I'm sure many others) can post lots of links and resources to get you started. It's just the initial undertaking that will be a little daunting, but once it's passed, you will be golden.
