View Full Version : BVLGARI Perfume WIP
osmose 06-05-2005, 09:29 AM Hi everyone.
I'm french and very pleased to find here some rhinoceros lovers. I've just started one week ago to practice this very well done nurbs modeler.
My wife offered me a bottle of perfume and i decide it would be a good first exercise to understand the workflow of rhino by modeling it with all the detail ( the plastic pipe inside the bottle is missing for rendering purpose : ie it is not very esthetic ! )
So the modeling process take me about 2 hours and the lighting texturing and rendering tweakings about three or four hours more with alias imagestudio2.
Crits are welcome... The fonts i'm using here are not the real one. If somoebody knows what font is used for BVLGARI i will be very pleased.
I'll try in a future message to upload the whole rhino model but i must find a way to do it cause the file is about 4 mo.

Pretty impressive work for somebody new to rhino !! Sometimes simple models can look very effective. I like the second render better the vivid green is just a little to much for me but it could be just personal taste. keep up the good work !!

i agree with you giant551, the second render is better in the mood...
By the way here is another one which is this time my favorite.
bye.
friends....
i am also very new to rhino... i have just started doing work with rhino plugin matrix for jewellery designing.
I was working with catia a year befor but now rhino is really cool software and i love to work with.
I liked your first rendered image in perspective. How you render the rhino file in alias imagesoft?
I am using flamingo only.

Hi jeet !
The rhino file was exported in IGES for maya then imported in image studio 2 which keep every surfaces and rhino material which can then be modified at will.
for more info on image studio :

Dear osemose
Thankyou verymuch for your help. I seen the website... its seems to be really helpful... Now i am downloading the free trial.
Dear wild_brendan
Rhino comes with rendering, but flamingo is good for rendering and this alias imagestudio also good. I will install it and then i will tell you how it is. But as it is alias product it should be good.

Nice work mate:thumbsup:
As for the Font for the Logo heres my top tip of the day.
Get a copy of there logo either via web or scanned print then trace it.
Trying to get an exact font of a logo is quite often a waste of time because
most of them get worked on after typeing.
Unless you're Sony designing the PS3 logo and decide to just re-use
the Spiderman2 font (mata) because you've already paid for it:rolleyes:
Worst logo ever!

How do you do the attached image thing? Do I need to thumbnail the image, insert the thumbnail and link it to the full image? Sorry to get off-topic...
