Yes, please Newtek, update LW by buying up more free plugins.
Why not just point out why the plugin is good and ask Newtek to develop shading in that direction?
Maybe instead of also creating a stupid threads (this one NOT included) about stealing features from other applications, list features that work real well and present them to NewTek as concepts and not targets for acquisition.
Having not used Fakeskin I'm sure the author should of course add your requests to the shader. :)

The author is at his limit. The SDK needs to be more open for him.
If this plugin was more integrated into LW PhotoShop like layer system
You could more SSS like the mi_SSS.
Haven't used mi_sss. Actually the funny thing is some of the SDK "limitations" that developers need removed for SSS, haven't stopped OGO from doing them a few years ago. The only limits I saw mentioned by the author were that NewTek wasn't responding to bugs he reported.

The SDK issues also make OGO VERY slow. Good luck using that SSS for anything but the simplest stills. Many plug-in developers have stated that things like OGO would be fast IF a few things were changed in the SDK...
I don't think this is a stupid thread...
