I am currently wondering about God's designs on me. I thank Him (or at least try to) for everything thrown my way, but I want to know if this has ever happened to anyone else here. Being an animator I have a custom built computer that suits most of my rendering and animating needs. Two years ago I was coming home for the summer from school in Florida to Minnesota and I wanted to bring my computer with me so that I could practice over the summer. I shipped it and they dropped it or something and heavily damaged both box and computer somehow in transit. They were very nice about it and replaced the machine (thankfully I didn't lose any data) and that was the end of it. It shipped back to Florida just fine but just in case I brought my hard drives with me on the plane (they made it thru the journey as well).
I just graduated from college and had to come back to Minnesota and so once again I packed up my computer and shipped it. It arrived with little damage to the box, however the computer wouldn't work again. After being in the shop for over two weeks now the tech guys have determined that it broke during shipping again because only one stick of RAM works. Thankfully I brought the hard drives on the plane again and they work just fine.
I've been told that hundreds of computers are shipped each day and I'm wondering:
Does anyone else have this problem?
