u can draw a curve using sketch and u can choose face, curve, lines
the curve tool doesnt have that or does it? I used the tool now i want a face out of what i drew how do i get that.

When using the "curve" tool check the "closed" box option, then go to the menu Geometry->Create->Freeze. Select "Freeze Curves as Faces" and your curve will be turned into a poly just like the end result from using the sketch tool only with more control over the number of and placement of points.
