I've been trying to create a hyper-realistic sand shader. I tried creating the shader using Cheen and then Nukei, but failed at even creating a shader that even resembles sand. Can anybody help me out? I like to create my own shaders, for anything I do, but if somebody has already created a really good looking shader, can they share it, just for learning purposes. Thanks in advance. :)

There is a good sand shader in the Cinema install pack. Somewhere in the "3rd party materials" folder.

Don't remember if it was here or the PF, but someone posted a really nice sand shader awhile back. You might search around a little.

I've had pretty good luck making sand, I'd play with putting "random" type noise in the bump channel at a very low setting, the key is to render it out with a higher min/Max Antialiasing.
