View Full Version : roll+ for XSI?
belly80naz 10-15-2002, 01:29 PM Hi! I remember in Softimage|3D there is a function called Roll under Motion->Path->Roll+ with I can roll and unroll a carpet on all surfaces (scales, slides, ....). I've seen the tutorial at Edharriss.com: http://nimrichter.com/unravel/ but it's too limited, because if I want to unroll my carpet on a scale in this mode I can't to do it. How can I do?

Try enveloping your object with a skeleton that has a lot of joints. Multi-Select all of the joints and rotate them in add mode.

If I'm not misstaken there was a thread about this on the XSI list a few weeks ago. Make a search at softimage.com for it. I also think someone included a script.
The one that had the solution was Lawrence Nimrichter, make a search in his name.

Yes, maybe Lawrence Nimrichter has the solution and maybe has s script too, but it's impossible re-read all the post in Softimage.com couse they're 10000000000000000 posts!!
Do you remember a word to search the post or anything that can help me?

Sorry, I must delete this post and the previous post because I finally find the Lawrence's script but it's the same tutorial that I talk about in my first post (http://nimrichter.com/unravel/) and I repeat, it's too limited!!:D
