View Full Version : BlendShape Editing
Anchuvi 10-15-2002, 11:37 AM Hi all !!!
Ok, say you have set up loads of blend shapes on a character then realise you need to add some polys to the original.
Is there a way, or even a script that will transfer the new history onto the reference shapes ?
Cheers, Ta !

I had this problem before. I needed to make some changes on the model after I had about 10 blendShapes made for the model.
I just re-modeled all of them... but now I have 19 instead of ten and they work a lot better now. I've never heard of a script that can do this.
Sometimes you have to re-do stuff over and usually when you do it, it comes out better and more improved. :p

I have also had this problem. You could copy / paste the mel source into any good text editor (echo all commands) and use search and replace to change the object name. (you could also use a string instead of the object name and make the whole thing a loop (string $nodes[]; $nodes = `selectedNodes`;).
good luck
goob.
