Good Sand Texture

Do you know Lemog's page? The biggest collection of free textures i know.

I don't know how they look like in your high resolution renders but it is worth a try.

What i often use as well is a procedural sand material. At Renderosity Marketplace there is a package from BountyfulKnight - rust materials. In that there are two (i think) sand materials that does not look too bad as well.
