Can you set up your blueprints on planes in modo so u can have your blueprints to guide front , back, side top view . i used the load image in background deal but thats wacky if u ask me i need my images to stay in the right angle to make modeling easy. And if you can set that up any one can describe how to do that or point me to a tut.

Create normal Polygons, apply the images as a texture to them, put them in a background layer and then set foreground to "textured" and background to "same as foreground"

I try to use that option, putting the images as textures in the background layers. Work fine with the pen tool, but always crash with the curve tool. Do you get the same result? Thank you in advance.

Personaly man I am over the crashes with Modo , Luxology should be assahmed of saling a product with so many bugs at such a high price. I am starting to lean towards Silo now.

The logic would be to report the crashes first, give your steps if needed and see if they can fix it or not.

Luxology is listening,if their product crashes on your machine, they need to know more than just that.

I mean, that's why product support exists.

Modo remembers every Bg image's position etc when you save a layout so the software has no problem in that area.

Currently,I'm working on an extensive project/model.

I got about 3 different layouts setup for it and load them via hotkeys,Modo always puts them images back in the right place,no bugs or crashes but maybe that's not what you meant?
