Hey all, this is my first post on this awesome message board... I've been constantly reading since the tail end of the last challenge.

A little background on me. I'm 18 and in a Digital Media Arts program after spending about 5 years learning 2d/3d graphics in my spare time.

The following are a couple shots of a character i'm working on for a modeling/texturing class. By this Wednesday she will be fully textured, but I wanted some feedback on the modeling for my future work. We had to make the model from the reference pics, so please judge on the accuracy of recreation too.

A little background on the character; Her name is Susan, inspired by a character in the books by Terry Pratchett, specifically "Soul Music". She will eventually have to be animated... so any pointers on the polygon placement would be greatly appreciated. :)

Pictures are below \/ (sry for the inconveniece)

The overall shape and placement of things on her head could use some work.
I'd suggest grabbing some photo's and looking at the differences.

Angelina Jolie is great for straight on and profile pictures. Most models dont do that.

You made a model that really looks like your sketch!:) The only thing is that you should base your modeling more on photos than your own sketches.Nice work:)
