View Full Version : Image Sequence Composite into one image

I'm trying to get all the rendered frames of a sequence together, side by side (rows and columns) into one image.

To be more specific, I have a small composition (100x100 pixels) that I need to render out each separate frame, but then have them all composited together in one image. The same thing as if I opened them all in Photoshop and dragged each one into a new, large document....snapping them one next to the other.

Of course I could do this manually in Photoshop, but with 50 similar sequences at around 100 frames per sequence, that's a lot of repetitive work. I need to find a way to automate this.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance...

Do you have Premiere?

If so then import your image sequence into Premiere you can then export the time line into something called Flim strip. You can then open this file into photoshop and it should have what you are looking for.

go to export movie then into settings and select Flime Strip (.flm) then open it in PS.

to save time do what i should have before the first time I used filmstrip and read online info on handling filmstrips. If you get into it it can be a great way easily add effects to your gifs or sequenced jpegs or whatever
