Hi All,

I have a serious problem that I cant seem to work out....

I have a fairly complex scene with over 50 objects, all with several textured layers, and NONE of them have a reference object set to any of the textures.

Why is it that when I then go to load a character rig into the scene with 'Load items from scene', all of the textures in the scene suddenly appear to have a reference object (the character's master null) set to them.

As soon as I then move the character, all of the textures in the scene move with it.
It will take me hours to manually set all textures back to having no reference object!!!

Can anyone please help?????? I am desparate!

 Thanks, Simon S

Oh, and I'm using LW 8.0 by the way.

This is an old problem due to LW way of dealing scenes.
Reference Objects are treated as indexes.
If you modify/load/erase an object, most probably the index will phuk up.
Also paremeters given to the plugins are treated similarly (IK, Motion, Target, etc etc)

References dont store the Object name unfortunately.

Hope this helps

It appears that if I select an object which has the screwy reference object set to it, press F12 to go to modeler, then close the object, press F12 again for layout...the textures then seem to pop back to normal.???? weird!

Its still going to take me an age to do this with all the objects in my scene, and whats to say that it wont just happen again next time I load an IK object into my scene???

Has this bug been fixed in the LW 8.3 update??

Is there any way of sorting this problem out?
