Hi...Im trying to plot animation using a standard biped guide skeleton for a couple of my animations...but none seem to be working properly. Here are the list of problems that im having:

Problem: Head gets twisted
Solution: Replaced the head null with a bone and it seems to work fine.

Problem: Arms twist around and do not move its full motion range.
Solution: Tried everything I could think of but does not work...The problem lies with the pole vectors.

Problem: Sometimes parts like the back, arm get twisted around and contain no animation after plotting
Solution: None yet

I have also done a few animations with the 'biped guide' available in the netview and those seem to work fine.....does the problem lie with the skeleton??

I also cant seem to transfer these old animations created on the standard biped rig to the new skeletion...the animation gets screwed up.

Any help will be appreciated...Thanks

Hey riyaz,

What r u trying to plot from, generally its just a case of a rig being named or setup wrong. for most cases to plot animation u gota use the simplest kinda rig possible, or better still make use of the shadow rigs given to u.

Cheers

Sidd

Hi sidd....Thanks for the reply.

Im using the xsi 4 standard biped guide without any shadow rig...Im assuming the problem lies with the rig...because Iv also tried using the standard biped guide available in the netview and that seems to be working gr8....Unfortunately I had created many animations with the default rig and although the animations have got transferred to the new rig the skinning has to be redone...:(
