Is there any other way to smooth a box without meshsmoothing it?
I seem having trouble to understand the meshsmooth behaviour..

Smoothig a box wont give you a perfect sphere. It gets a bit more flattened out. If you want to smooth it and get it perfectly round add a spherify modifier on to the stack.
