View Full Version : GIVE US YOUR BEST SHOT: Show us your BEST LW WORK

RobertoOrtiz

We all talk, but I would like to see more.
Show us what you consider your best Lightwave work.
It can be a still, or an animation (hell even a FULL DEMO REEL),
as long as it was done at least in part with Lightwave.

And please dont break any NDA by posting here...

People lets keep it civil and fun,
and for this topic how about if we leave the software politics
OFF the thread.

Looking forward to your entries.

This isn't much, but I'm proud enough of it to share. Made it in an hour from a photo I took in San Francisco so that I'd have at least something less abstract on my demo reel.

I'll probably have to take down these links because our site probably can't handle the bandwith...

I like 'em because they are simple and clever. Both are all Lightwave.

Part of a short film I did using LW:

It's a story about the guy in my avatar. Please ignore the weirdness of the plot. It's explained elsewhere in the film:D

I'm just a hobbyist, but love the software. Hope it's ok to post hobby-things here, this is the project I'm most happy with so far, a bit of post work in PS. Wanted to recreate that 70's photo-feeling I remember from my childhood:-)

wow, I've still got so much to learn:eek: . It's great to see all these amazing images, the thing that I find most inspiring is that I've realised how much real-world detail I miss out of my work. I'm very concious of adding grime, dust, rust, wear & tear etc but there's a lot of subtle things that I'm missing.

It's also nice to see some non-photo realistic images & some more abstract pieces....well done everyone & thanks for inspiring someone that's getting very bored of 3d again.

Amazing stuff I see here so far

Roberto: Excellent idea. When I see stuff created in LW that's better than my own, it just gives me that extra push to learn more and become better. In the end that's what drives us I guess, not the sometimes endless discussions about what tools we are missing or what might work better.

But not much people mention about it and this is the first project that I used up LW's resources and found limitations.

Here some renders where I'm proud of.
The black Peterbilt was made togheter with my dear brother, I recently updated the shading and lighting, and added lots of details like interior and engine. I hope u like it. (Everything is made in Lightwave off course).
