..or was it the other one....
oh well...

i'm sooo stressed out right now... does anyone know if i can export my 3d models i've made in maya over to 3d studio max. also... does anyone know how i could do this without shelling out major amounts cash?

i wouldn't even mind exporting low rez models outta maya as a dxf or something....i can just model sooo much faster in maya than 3ds...

Go into Maya's plug-in manager and turn on the OBJ import/export plugin.

Import OBJ into 3dsMax.

there is a thread on this that is VERY recent. you'd do better to read the forum more rather than post something like this with such a bogus thread title.

I've said it before and will say it again... whenever I can!

FBX! Go to www.kaydara.com and download the free FBX plugin. It is an interchange format used to create scenes in different packages to be animated in Kaydaras Filmbox package.

Works like a dream. You get UV's textures and even animation if you do it right.

Try it, you'll like it
