overall a pretty stylie piece - with some nice modelling and posing, and visuals are well mixed with awesome soundFX :) i personally don't like the matrixy effects and Xmen/Wolverine copying, but that's just a personal gripe on the content so feel free to ignore me ;)

the facial animation (when he trains his sights on the enemy, and when he dies at the end) is its major flaw. it seems very linear with little intensity, and lacks dramatic impact becuase of this. as an example when looking down the barrel he blinks but the rest of his face is rock solid, i think the facial rig needs work.

its hard to rate as an animation piece - in some places its heavily stylized to the point where the animation is quite jerky, and jumps from pose to pose. that's not really meant to be a critique, obviously its intended to be a stylized animation, it just might be a pretty hard sell as a character animation reel unless it was specifically for that style.

What an awesome piece this is!! :) Great work Luis, I liked it very much. It is very stylish, original characters and feels like it's a comic strip..... Which is why it's so great. Loved the cinematography and your animation, you have very good skills. I know that for a piece like this you wouldn't have much time for textures but it has a good overall tone as a piece, although lighting could be improved a bit more.

My only critique on animation would be that backward sliding of the character. He just seems that he doesn't put that much energy on his backflip to justify the way he slides on the floor. It looks more like there is an oil leak on the floor and he wears rubber shoes!. hehehe

I liked the exagurated faces of the creature and the sometimes snap-pop movement, it gave it that extra cartoon feel to it. The whole animation was very stylish and nice to watch.

Overall it's a great piece, which you can improve if you like but surely is a very very good effort. Keep it up dude and good luck with the industry, although I'd recomend you to start something on your own or with some friends. Ideas like these could translate very well for "e-comic-books", which you can sell over the net and also have short animations to promote them.

Awesome!! Totally amazing and for a student reel! I like the style and the shots are well paced, like the poses and the idea. You can see that ALOT of work went into it, the models are nice to look at! Great piece!!
