Hello, I'm new in here and just wanted to get some feedback regarding my first run cycle. I'm still fairly new to 3d animation, so keep that in mind. I used IK Joe for the model, because my own model is yet to be finished.

Nice running cycle, I know how hard it is to tune a realistic movement by hand. But you did a great job on these.

this is surprisingly good for a first run cycle.

I think I see what looks like a Preston Blair influence, do you have a strong 2D background?

This is looking nice! :) I would lean his pelvis a bit more forward and kick his legs out a bit further so he has more of a lope and less step. Great start -- the arms and body look really nice.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. As far as my 2d animation background goes, the only experience I really have was when I was 12 animating stick figures killing one another in Dpaint on my dad's amiga! I guess that exposure at a young age helped though. Other than that, no real animation background. I have done a few simple character animations but nothing worth mentioning. I have taken many life drawing classes though.

As far as the pelvis and leg kick, I totally agree with you. The more I watch it the more I see the problems, and that was surely one of them. I probably should have used a video clip for reference instead of doing it all by myself.

Anyhow, thanks everyone again!
