Hi!

I am working on a creative short movies which may need to be given in high resolution. Instead of creating in PAL or NTSc, what frame size should I use?

Thx

If you're refering to HD, just use the composition presets provided in AE. If you're going to print it to film, ask the people doing the actual print which size they need.

Well, thank you. I've been asking it not having AE at my disposition. The more, I was wondering if these HD presets were truly insteresting to work with.

I don't know if the HD presets are interesting to work with, they're nothing fancy, just presets for rendering. They are already set up for the dimensions you'll need. There is no hi-res in video, it's all 72 dpi, not like printing. But, if you want to render your movie for HD, it'll also depend on if it's going to have to be on DVD. DVD only excepts 720x480(or 486). So if you want to render it in HD just double that to 1280x720. So use the NTSC DV or NTSC DV 1, or for HD use the HDTV 1280x720 preset for DVD or HD. Their are alot of other options such as several PAL, Cineon and Film settings when you create a new composition.
