Hey all,

I started this illustration at work whilst waiting for objects to export and levels to load. Thought I'd give it a go at finishing it.

The general idea is like a fashion illustration, where the girls are not only in control of their work and personal lives, but they're also saving the world with enormous weaponry. Sort of Haute couture meets the transdimensional hammer.

Here's the drawing itself. I'm using Photoshop from here on out, but I'm going to try and maintain a look like guache, watercolour and pencil crayon.

I seriously like the pose. How about a more grim facial expression?
and also perhaps a scabbard for that huge sword.
Since the image is so full of detail and design (I like the whole punk, superheroin, fashion statement look)it makes the shoes look to plain.

Can't wait to see you colour this up.

love the wardrobe dude, how about her leaning on the sword instead, looks too heavy for her IMO. Great job so far, keep it coming!!

Don't know about adjusting the pose, but I might scale up the sword so it rests on the ground...

Awesome concept design there! =)
I really dig the clothing.

I will say however, that the pose looks rather unplanned, and I can't really figure out what she is doing. It's definitely not a battle pose as far as I can tell. It looks like she is casting a look out the window to assess the weather, while picking a sword from the umbrella stand. "Looks like riots and barbarians this morning..."

That's more or less what I had in mind. It's supposed to be a fashion illustration of sorts, so she could literally be trying to figure out whether the sword or the hammer would go better with her jacket.

Here's stage 1 for the colouring, not so sure about the line, I was just playing.

Wow! Looks great! I love the colors of the clothes but the red hair is a bit strong for me, what about blue hair?

I kinda like red. Repeated element from belt and shoes.

Here's a bit more work, been getting caught up in Daily Sketches, so not a lot of work is getting done to this. O'ell.
