Can anyone tell me how I would go about having a movie in the camera background image plane? Should I use an avi, or an image sequence?

use an image sequence and keyframe the frame padding.

for more info hit F1 and search for frame padding

Hmmm, nice, How can I loop a series of frames? Say I want frames 1-100 of a sequence to loop in the background plane.
