View Full Version : A little MentalRay for Maya question

hi,

I set up a test-scene in maya to test out mentalray...
just 5 Boxes, 1 Tube and 1 Sphere. The sphere and
the tube got diffrent materials, both lambert with
diffrent colors. the boxes got all the same lambert
materials. In every mental ray options from the
Objects I set the first three options to yes, caustics
to disabled and GI to Cast & Receive. Then I put
a spot light over my scene and told it to emit photons.
Set up the mental ray Render Globals and pressed
Render Current View....
RC 0.0 warn 082016: lens shader runs in scanline mode, it must not modify the origin or direction of the rayWhat the f***ing hell is this sh** ?!??! :D
Turning of lens shaders in the mentalray Render Globals
crashes Maya with a spammed Output window :(

I'm trying and trying and trying, but I can't figure
out what the hell is wrong !!!! That SUXX !
Please help me, pleeeaassseee :(

i find a part of the solution ,

go to the light properties and change the properties from 'derived from maya' to what ever you want .
