Hey there,

I'm used to 3ds max, but I'm currently having a go at Maya (and I like it a lot!). HOWEVER, there's one very very simple, almost stupid thing that I can't figure out....

Selection and deselection.

It's as if when I've selected an object that I can't deselect it. In max you obviously just press somewhere else with your mouse, but it would seem that Maya does that differently? Or am I on crack here?

Maya does it the same way ,

You might be in component mode (if the object turns blue) , in that case hit F8 and go to object mode (object turns green) , and deselect should work.
