This is from a story of mine. I came up with a basic design that I like, but I still think that it needs more detail. I have some ideas but nothing I really like. Comments and crits would be most appreciated thanks.

What if you had coming from the center of the ground like a spirit or maybe a sillouette of smoke shaped as something, something that will give the picture more contrast as well, just a thought, but good start reminds me a bit of crop circles.

I think it'd be a little more dynamic if the ambient light was so high. If that's lava, its only got so much glow, so dark the walls a tad, especiall at the top.

I think it could use some steam or something to make it feel hot. It looks kind of glowing now, but yet still a little cold.

Those are great suggestions and comments guys, thanks. I did play around with smoke, but didn't like what I came up with . I used a ripple affect which I think gives it a heated look, and took down the lighting on the rock wall. Look for it in 2D finished work soon. Thanks again....

The composition seems to be lacking a focus. There's nothing really to indicate what goes on here or what this place is. I'm interested to see the finished piece.

if you could guide us about the scale of the image by adding some objects... m not sure how high those towers are... maybe a close up foregorund showing the lava, w/ cool darkened stuff & orangy oozing hot stuff w/ steam... my 2 cents bro:)
