:bounce: hi I'm a photoshop noob... is there any way to marquiselect a part of a picture an use it as a brush texture? I meant to paint with the picture...?

Yes though sadly PS won't retain colors (ie they're one-tone brushes)

Select the image or part of the image you want to use as a brush, make sure it's the only visible thing in your image and go to Edit>Define Brush... next time you paint you'll be able to select that new brush.

yea I knew that one... but I need the colors... why dosn't it keep 'em? is ther any script for this?

A nice little program called Z-Brush!:p

u can import a jpeg/bmp and other formats and simply use it as a "color" and then choose your favorite brush, then export as a chosen file and use it in photoshop...
I only used it for 3d modeling so far, but I have gotten wiser:cool:
