Hello I am just curios how many people use props and costumes and reference photos? The more I read it seems like a large number of the famous illustraters and painters used props and costumes. Also would be curios on peoples thoughts on this and cheap places to buy also:)
I personaly have started working very hard a getting a collecting of reproduction armour and costumes for the periods I am working on in my illustrations. Some of the things I am working on getting is a complete set of 1st century roman armour and kit, 3 piece movie caliber Jesus costume, Plate armour from about the 15th century, Western costumes and other odds and ends to mix and match and be able to creat more.
