Hello

This is my first car model. I did it with the digital tutors training kit.
I am having little problem with the renders.

I want to make this image as realistic as possible. What do you usually do when making realistic renders.. what can i do?

I dont know a lot about mental ray. I have this options.
final gather: 700
Max radius 0.06
min radius 6

how many light should i have when using mental ray?

this is the render i made http://leonklein.0catch.com/_webimages/Carro%20Completo.jpg using 1 point light

Does the shadows comes automaticly when activating final gather ?

If i would animate the car... what's the best way to keep the reflections? having a huge dome or a few planes or a big cube around the car?

I want to composite the car in a live action footage... Do you guys use the 3 point light set up for compositing with real footage or just trial and error till you like it?

Thanks a lot for the help!

With that training kit they teach you how to render the car....

if you downloaded and missed a CD or just haven't watched it all.

for a car i would use 0 lights Image HDRI based lighting and tweek it
