World Event Animator



Responsibilities:



The animator’s main focus would be to create realistic character and world animation using dynamics and/or hand-keyed animation to enhance the game environment and experience. This person will collaborate closely with engineering and art team members and use a variety of tools including maya and proprietary technology in order to deliver assets that are both visually sound and within the technical limitations of our engine. This will be a technically demanding and cross-functional position.



Requirements:



All World Animation Candidates must have a portfolio and reel that demonstrates:

*A strong artistic background

*Layout and/or dynamic events involving physics simulations or realistic hand key animation

*Strong understanding of classic animation principles and fundamentals (i.e.; Squash and Stretch, Staging, timing and Motion, anticipation, exaggeration, follow through, arcs and appeal.)

*An eye for detail and realism

*Ability to pull many elements into a scene and organize it in an efficient and clear manner

*Strong understanding of and proficiency with Maya Dynamics (ideally 2+ years experience)

*Ideal candidates will have supporting experience with rigging and basic modeling.

*Maya Mel Scripting Experience a plus

*Production work experience in Games, Cinematics, or Feature Films
