hi there,

I ran into this problem lately, my C: drive is running out of memory constantly. I while ago i enlarged its partition to 7 gb because of the same issue. But now it is full again. I only have windows installed on C. I do not store any files or programs on that drive.
System recovery is disabled.

Does anyone know why i am constantly running out of free disk space? And what can i do about it?

Please help, because Photoshop, 3ds Max etc. is consuming lots of virual memory ;)

first of all assign your swap disk to a different physical disk (or at least to a different partition), it will be a bit more efficient.

as for the problem, check out your temp directory. windows stores all temporary files in it (plus all sort of junk) and this dir grows bigger and bigger all the time (it can easily grow to few gigs over time). run some disk cleaning app that will get rid of all the garbage; there are lots of em out there. just make sure you don't delete some important files.

If you do get a message about "low on memory" check your process monitor and see if anything specific shows up.

when your computers off, take the ram out of your motherboard and swipe the bottom, than put it back.

Are you on drugs? He's talking about temp files filling up his windows partition, not faulty memory.
