i have a wireless usb connection where my internet comes from... i also have a pci nic card... i wish to bridge my connections,so that i can route internet from my pci card to another device, (e.g my xbox)

it used to work by selcting the two cards in network connections, then right click, then select bridge connections.... but now when i do this i get an error report staright away...

(there was an unexpected error)

this used to work fine, and i know of little that i have changed iwth my computer... if anyone could help or direct me to a techie forum, i would very much apreciate it...

thank you very much...

fixed it myself :wise: duno why anybody couldnt help me find a techie forum....

anyway, to anyone who reads this thread, and wants to know how to fix it, i had to go to,

start>run... and then run 'services.msc'

within this... i had to change the start-up type to 'automatic' for these 3 service names:

Automatic updates, Background intelligent transfer service and finally windows firewall/internet connection sharing(ICS)

after doing this right click each one by one and click start.....

if this does not work, also try running automatic updates.... if u are allowed to run them, then the problem should be fixed....
