Ti 4200 to Quadro..

i have recently got a geforce 4 Ti 4200 graphics card,can some please waste some time and guide on doing such thing. the card is overclock to 290 mhz & 490 mhz , core and ram respectivly. i softquadro it but still maxtreme is not seeing it as a quadro card.. i used the 45.21driver and rivatuner to patch it..

Use 41.09 or 41.xx instead of 45.xx
(45.xx are for quadro fx )

yep, finally i got the right driver, max works fine with maxtreme 6, and aof course getting the output of a quadro 700. orbiting complex files like they should be! this is all thanks to okmijun!! altough i lost about 8 fps in unreal tournament.

Step 1 - uninstall all nvidia drivers.
Step 2 - install riva tuner
Step 3 - patch the driver (41.09) to soft quadro
Step 4 - update driver from device manager (the one you have pacthed)

MAX should work peachy with maxteme..

YES it worked perfectly.. maxtreme runs on QUADRO now.. if you have a problem just send me an email on falzonwarren@hotmail.com i will tell you the steps to follow.

i have the same problem with the FX 5200 at work.. 3dsmax crashes after a file is loaded with maxtreme.. i used the 45.21 driver... any suggestions ?

For 5200....
If 45.xx doesnt work, try with 53.03 (they are not official supported by
RT by you should try)
Did you do everystep?
(patching the driver, instaling and instaling NVstrap driver from Riva tuner? for 5200 maybe some older riva tuner could help

for 53.03 driver:
-you will get message that this driver is not supported
click Ok and go

first of all thanks for your help okmijun, i really appreciated... i managed to get a fully functioning Fx 500 & Fx 700 at home.. i was amazed with the difference it makes.. i managed with the 45.xx driver.. probably i was missing a step..now its ok..

Is it possible to use the newer nvidia drivers, like 66.93 or 71.89 with softquadro-ing a ti 4200? Or do you have to use 41.09?

Reason I ask is because I've got softquadro working with these, but I'm getting some windows crashes, and not sure if it's due to dual monitors and maxtreme or not.

Nevermind; I loaded up the 41.09 and no more crashes.

Just_David, yes, the maxtreme drivers only work with 3ds max.
