View Full Version : Environment Sky in Mental Ray

Hello..

Is there a proper way to set up an environment shader in mental ray? I apply a maya environment texture to the environment shader of a camera, and when I render, everything goes fine, renders out exactly like maya's environment shader as applied to an image plane,... but then right when the render is finished, for no apparent reason, the whole image just turns bright red.. can anybody explain this? Would somebody possibly try mapping the outcolor of an environment texture to the environment shader of a camera? could it be just my version of maya?

In summary: Can anybody explain why my environment maps render fine and then turn bright red in mental ray? All and any help is appreciated.
