View Full Version : Zbrush crash when i try to create the displacement map..
konakus 05-22-2005, 07:00 PM what i did is ...
1 import my model from maya (no uv mapping yet) to zbrush and scrupt with my smooth level 4 my model with standard tools
2 then i reduce the smooth to 1
3 try to create the displacement ...
4 crash ....and it asks me for sending information to microsoft ...
and it happens even i watch the displacement tutorial from z script
ps. do i have to do the uv mapping before i import my model to zbrush ..???

why dont you try to re install, thats not normal , you should be able to use the mapping tools inside z brush..

ive had the same thing with max and Z brush - then i turned my map siZe down to 512 and it worked....strange - i have a gig of ram and a 3 ghz proc.
i need to do some more testing - but see if that helps ?

it got the answer from marbolo man in maya forum ....it was becasue you have overlaping UV
fix it ..and it will be fine

I sort of solved the problem I was having with the crashing at the link above. I'm not sure how this works with other applications. But it's a step forward.
