kgaulin 05-22-2005, 09:31 AM This is a pass at an animation that I am working on for school. I plan on adding a few more characters in the next day or so, but check it out and let me know what you think so far........

This is really good so far. It feels very real. Although in real life, our heads do bob and weave quite a bit, for the animation, it does get distracting. It seems like a lot of the bobbing should be secondary action -- but it's so much that it almost feels primary.
There also seems to be a lot of twining.

I think you should play with camera shots so you shouldnt have to animate all the characters all the way through the animation. Maybe a couple close ups, head shots. Then you can concentrate on the shots with everything animated. You know what I mean? If the character isnt on screen then you don't need to animate them. It seems like you are stretching yourself by trying to animate 3 characters all doing something in one scene. Maybe also exagerate the characters movements more. But I really think you should vary the camera shots to make it easier on yourself.
