Been modelling this guy on and off for one week now. Modelled with editable poly in 3ds max. Any C&C is welcomed. Right now, I am still in the process of tweaking the model, texturing will start later.

Great model!
I think his 6 pack is abit flat somehow.
Cheer!

Did some tweaking on the face and the adominals, but still I don't want too much exaggeration on the six pack though. Starting on the texturing now.

WHOA! He's got HUGE nipples. You need to tone those down a bit. Everything else is looking good.

Did some tweaking on the nips to make it less prominent. Here's a render with full armour on.

Man i am so happy to see fresh work from u again...u are one of my favourite modelers ...
A small critic ...although i am not sure...experiment on this is that i think the torso could be a little bigger...other than that ...i love this!!!

Great work!
Right now the only thing that s standing out is that he has a baby face, but at the same time he has this chiseled body.
If he is so muscular, wouldn't his face look a little leaner.
This is just my impression. The quality of the model itself is excellent, it's just that thats the first thing I notice.
Tha mask and shirt look excellent.

Very clean work!
As for the crit: I agree with Dimitris > the proportion of the torso is a bit too smal compared to the legs... maybe... ;)
cheers

Very nice character..i relly like the arms..the chest looks a bit unporportioned but i'm not sure..maybe is just my impression..
I think the details of the chest could be done better..

Thanks for the critiques guys. I will probably have to age and weather the face a little bit to give it that war weary vet look. As for the body, I was going for that lean mean Bruce Lee body type, so I deliberately stayed away from making him too beefy looking. The legs looked thick because he's suppose to be wearing army fatiques, so that tends to make his upper body look small in comparison.
Here's some more progress with the texturing. BTW his face won't actually be seen anyway :D

Nice work- your model is looking good so far & glad you toned down his nipples too! One very minor thing though- why model the detail of his face if it's going to be completely obscured by the gas-mask? Or will he be taking the mask off at some point?
Nice model and textures! Dunno if it has been said, but his chest area looks a bit off. I think it a bit to high ie. his abdomen (spelled right?!) starts to soon.

man throw away that mask it's stupid it hides the face, which can become extrmely nice with just a few hours of tweaking
bettereven make some goggles and wear them on his forehead
or make hair
he looks kinda young so it would be cooler if he was a warrior with an attitude (aka cool face expression) than having him wear a mask (it makes him look more like a gimp)
this is my c&c and it's not negative the face is very good so show that and not the mask
u could even scar him or tattoo him, anything that would show his face would be better than the mask
hope u get what i'm talking about

Thanks for the critiques. I understand about the gasmask, but I think when the final work is finished, you guys will have a better idea why I am keeping the mask. Its just part of the image that I already have in mind.
Anyway started on the rigging- here's the latest render-

pretty neat.
I think the knee pads are too small - you need a broad surface area for them to work effectively and to not hurt your knee caps! if you scale on z axis by mabe 10% and scale on x axix by 30 to 40% you'll be good I think
and the m16 is too small. I'd say increase it's size by another 25 to 30%
good work on everything else

great work this is, I really like the way you didnt over define the muscles, you see that to often, your approach is more realistic and the result of good observation skills, the mask rocks too!

nice one, Marc. I wish I had the time to create a project of my own. Anyway, is he going to wear any protection since he IS a chemical trooper?
I especially like the mud on the shoes. Nice touch.
