Hey guys, heres a crab concept I modeled from kemp remillard at www.kempart.com (http://www.kempart.com) (aka steaktron). Things I have to do is add cartelege to the first joint on the tail, tweak the end piece and conect the tail to the body properly. Enjoy!

I like your progess, I'd turn the specular shade off so we can see the detail a little clearer. It seems a bit confusing, also load some more images with different angles possibly. So far it looks good though.

Hey guys, heres more views and I made the shader different, also tweaked it quite a bit. Tell me what you guys think. Ive really pushed my self with this piece as well, so dont be shy. last thing to do is to finish up the coupling in the back end.

this is looking quite cool, im assuming ur using subd's, i still dont trust them enough but nice result regardless.

na those are pollies, but the unsubed version looked really confusing. Thanks for the compliments so far. Im still unwrapping right now

hey guys, after a long hietis I think I have decided to try and finish this damn thing. So far heres a wip of what I have so far (damn repititious attitude =)).

Well, after working on a short, and now that I have time to do this, Ive updated the crab to what it is now, Im still punching through all the color maps to get it down fully, but I dunno, do you guys like the blue crab? =)

are u using any displacement? it looks like your using bump in some spots were displacement might be beter, or the bump is to intense mabie.

yea Im still trying to find a happy medium, its all normal mapped at the moment, and Id like to try out using a low level displacment on some parts, we will see though

Link worked for me.

Thats fun to watch. On the 2nd movie, the weight seems a bit off on his tail area. Right now, the tail looks like its pushin him along.

On the 1st one, I would add a small, quick stumble to regain balance when he lands. Right now hes lookin too robotic.

This is lookin really cool. Keep it up!

Sorry for the late reply I havent had internet all this week at all. Heres another update, Ive never done a bop to run cycle before, lots of learning from this exercise.

Not sure about the first part of the cycle. It kinda looks like a walk but looks a bit choppy. Is it limping? If so then its not too convincing. I like the transition from the walk to the run, but the run cycle is off. Its a bit floaty when he hangs in the air. The jump looks strange. Especially at the end when it should be pushing forward but its rotating back. Other than that it's looking okay....keep going.
